Alice (Novelette) is a fantasy short story that follows the character, Alice, as she goes through the pain and growth after discovering that her father didn't actually die when she was born, but rather she was abandoned.
The story is set in a town called Eldham in 4,500 B.C, a time where different civilizations are still building.
On her 14th birthday, Alice found out a life changing revelation: that her father ditched her mother the day after she knew she was pregnant with Alice. Alice couldn’t believe it. How could someone leave a child without a parent? Fueled by anger, Alice decided to seek out the “witch of the forest” who is said to have granted other seekers their wishes. With her best friend, Meg, and her childhood lover, Janus, they set out to the land of Nymphs, Imps, and Will-o’-the-Wisps only to find out that things are not always what they seem.
